Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre (DANC) was opened in 1977 after local residents formed the Dundas Community Aid & Information Service. 

The aim was to provide a place where community members could seek help and help each other. The NSW Government funded the centre’s activities while the City of Parramatta Council provided the facilities.
